Coming to my mat is my JOY, and teaching yoga is my passion. I love watching my students gain confidence and flexibility in their poses and deepen their practice. I teach yoga for all ages and stages of life. My 200 hr training was Iyengar based and I am a 500 hr certified Kripalu teacher. The combination of these two philosophies has given me the best of both worlds--attention to alignment, but with permission to explore and experience one's own practice. Classes are modified for all levels of experience. Along my path, I've studied with many amazing teachers: Rolf Gates, Cyndi Lee, Judith Lasater and Patricia Walden to name a few. I draw something from each of them, but my Kripalu path is what changed my life and to them I am most grateful.
In my "other life" I have a Bachelor of Science degree in studio art and a Masters in Liberal Studies from Albertus Magnus College. When I'm not teaching yoga, I write poetry, knit, walk and work at the Yale School of Art. Check out my blog: http://bksyoga.blogspot.com/
